This is what happened during the strike period when many planes were not flying.

At least according to the BASSA fibs, that's where the aircraft were...

As BBB suggested, the West Base at Hatton Cross would be the first parking place. I remember in December 1999 when lots of flights were cancelled before the Millennium, that the West Base was full, with aircraft wedged in there like a giant tessellating puzzle.
