Canada via car on 89 or 87 is pretty easy, although sometimes the lines are quite long (30 to 60 mins). I find immigration/customs on both sides is friendly.

Canada by plane is a nightmare. They're the only places I'm consistently brought in for secondary questioning. Nowhere else in the world am I confronted with the suspicion that somehow I am entering a country where I'll be evading paying taxes.
