It maybe should be, but it isn't ( I just did it last week ). However, as the OP notes, you cannot make a reservation and put in the correct age without paying the fee. I don't think there will be any problems at the airport.

Edit: As I thought about your language, I misinterpreted you. Yes it is noted noted on the PNR and will be seen at the airport.
