Spirit Airlines, Hurricane Irene, phone help non-existent
Anyone else's flight canceled from LGA because of the hurricane and unable to reach Spirit by phone? Spirit has a fee-waver statement on its website for storm passengers but we have to call in for flight changes. The heavy call volume means however that I can't get through and I'm kept on hold for hours. So I emailed them requesting a refund. Anyone getting through? Any chance on the refund, or just a voucher?
UPDATE:
Spirit just emailed affected passengers, requesting our phone numbers and two-hour time windows for reps to call us to offer accommodation. So far so good. Here's hoping it works. Others?
