They are mock-ups. Some are built from real aircraft, others not. They have either generic aircraft "type" doors or aircraft specific doors.. At Heathrow, we have a separate complex just by the airfield, where we do all our training. Inside the "hangar" type building there is a part of a 747 fuselage, part of a 777 size fuselage, 757 fuselage, 737 fuselage which is a full motion simulator with smoke and fire effects. There is also an Airbus fuselage as well as doors for other aircraft types, such as the 767. QANTAS also use out centre for their London based crew, so we have the A380 door in QF livery, and United use us too, so there are the 767 over wing exits too in United livery. There are permanently inflated 777/747, airbus, 757/767 and 737 slides, life rafts and other bits and bobs too...

However, as I understand it, the whole "Cranebank" complex will be knocked down and the whole thing moved to empty hangar space at the maintenance base where we will have new everything built... A great improvement over the current complex which is showing its age and facilities not as good as other airlines.
