I did not! Alas despite having been there, having friends and relatives there, I lack much knowledge of the language use. Apart from the word 'Roots'. In Canada, a brand of clothing with a beaver as its logo. Children's t-shirts with spoof sports teams like 'Roots Lions' or 'Roots Tigers' on them. Absolutely hysterical if you also know that in Oz 'roots' means 'to have sex with'. We assure our relatives that no one is going to mess with a kid who wears a shirt saying 'Roots Lions' in the playground!
