I have over 100,000 points and do not have a real need to book a flight anytime in the next two years. Do you think this is essentially "ripping me off" for the value of my points compared to a flight or worth while?
Total ripoff. For 175,000 points you could get a mini RTW in F class or a discount of $1400 and change? Don't even need more than 1 second think about that one.
I would never spend points for measly discounts like that. You could fly to Europe and back in business class for 100,000 points and that is worth far more than the $720 discount they are giving you for $85,000 points (including prorating it)
