One more thing, as a flying blue member I am trying to get enough flight segments (30 in total) to reach gold by the end of the year. Can Delta flights count towards these segments? I won't be able to reach the require number of miles for gold but getting 30 flight segments is do-able for me.

Again, would this be down to the type of ticket I buy from KLM?
