It has already happened, a new F and C lounge has been built (at T4) but will be kept dark for a year. Original plan was to open it next month, now it is Jan 04 or something absurd like that. Lounge is built but not furnished (can't afford to furnish it). Huge and lavish (I forget the numbers, but something like 500 people capacity on C side and 150 on F). Rather a shame to have the floor space and keep it closed, I suppose there are good financial reasons (maybe AA doesn't have to pay rent until it opens, and LAX eats the cost until then).
