Going to the ends of the earth to get bumped for compensation, maybe a hobby for a select few.. but I gather probably not for the majority of flyers including myself..

The increased thresholds mean probably on average more lucrative compensation.. the likelihood of getting bumped involuntarily and getting max compensation just got lower..
