In its later manifestation, "Tree Top" became known as "Freddy's Folly", as Lorenzo led it down the primrose path.

Air West had to be the original "Air Worst", while USAir was hung with "Useless Air" by many. An old friend, with a million miles back and forth across the Southeastern US, spoke of Piedmont kindly: "Soup in the cabin, nuts in the office!", arising from the period when inflight meals in Y were soup-based.

The second Braniff? "Ban-it"
