Darren, you are right. I checked the booking classes through Amex's system and sure enough the QF codeshare offers 3 cabins but the actual LA flight only 2!!! Hmmm, don't know if I would risk booking in first unless I was guaranteed by QF and LA that a first class cabin is offered. My orginal info was from an LA reservation agent who said she had looked up the aircraft config.

From what I can see in the pictures on LA's website there doesn't appear to be a great deal of difference between the F & J seats. Anyone care to comment?
