I was going through security at MCO a couple weeks ago and had already passed the TDC and was in a line that had both a WTMD and a NOS. I observed that the adjacent line had only a WTMD so I ducked under the divider to move to the other line. I actually made eye contact with one of the clerks as I did this and she just turned back to what she was doing -- no issue at all.
