OK, would appreciate some advice.

(1) What is your home airport?
SYD

(2) What types of fares do you usually buy ?
Usually Economy, but moving more towards premium economy where available.

(3) How many miles do you usually fly each year?
Two or three trips back to London, so min approx 50,000 miles.

(4) Do you have any kind of status at present? What is it?
UA Premier but will finish year under 25K so will drop down to General.

(5) What is most important to you in a FFP?

Reasonable redemption rates and fairly attainable *A Gold status

(6) Which routes do you fly most often:

Australia - UK

(7) Preferred Airlines

Ideally would move to an airline that would get be both to LA and to LON from here (not necessarily on the same trip), so TG, NZ, UA, OZ & SQ.

(8) Do you travel for work or pleasure?

Pleasure only at the moment, though that may change. Could be trans-tasman.

At over 6ft 3in, UA's Economy Plus was a big reason for me staying with Mileage Plus for the last 6 years (along with keen earn/burn rates), but given how they are moving to allow all to buy exits / economy plus, and that their SYD-LAX-LHR prices are often way above other SYD-XXX-LHR rates, and also that my status is dropping to zero, I thought now was the time to get some advice and consider whether there may be better options out there.
