Result: You get your name on an actual Centurion card, and for only a portion of what it would have actually cost you to have earned it, let alone use it.

I suspected this would come up eventually. If I was looking for an ego boost, driving around in a Ferrari would make the Cent card superfluous, no?
The perpetual airline, hotel, and car status is what I'm after so that I can upgrade my business travel. The way my company works they pay for everything - I have no way to pay for upgrades and expense the differential, I can only get upgrades if they're "free" due to status.
There are other ways to duplicate the status (in fact I'm generally doing this now) but it's a net lower cost/lower hassle to pay the annual Centurion fee for it instead of jumping through the other hoops.
