6 weeks..
I had an issue where we had award tickets in FC. There was an equipment problem which caused us to miss our flight from DFW to Honolulu. There were 3 of us with these tickets. And of course...everything sold out! We didn't want to wait another day since we had already paid for the night before in a hotel.
So my husband had to give up his FC seat in order to get there. My son and I flew to LAX in first....husband coach. Then they bought us FC tickets on Delta from LAX to HNL....
When we returned I emailed and asked about some miles etc for the loss of FC for the hubby. I had flight #s and info listed. I figured in writing would be better than calling. A month goes by and no contact from AA. I did get an acknowledgement a month before that they got my email.
So I decide to call AA. Took forever to get someone on the phone! But they finally came back and credited me the difference of miles from a FC ticket vs coach...
THEN...two weeks later I get a response email. The rep must have looked at the account before he responded. He said he sees where I spoke to someone and the issue had already been taken care of so he was closing my inquiry...
So 6 weeks to hear back in regards to the email!
