Okay, here's an update . . .

Last week, I took the afternoon off from studying and went to the CX office in Manhattan. The guy looked at it for few minutes , talked with a supervisor and said he could not reissue it as it was missing some information, most notably an "IATA number." Concerned, I went to the AA ticket office by Grand Central Station and, after waiting for the better part of an hour, was told fairly rudely that the ticket was fine and that AA could do nothing else on it. I had hoped that the agent would try to reissue it printed-out, but didn't even try.

When I got home, I called CX and told them of the problem and they apparently put a note in the record saying that they would honor the handwritten ticket. Nevertheless, I am probably more concerned now than I was before as the CX agent who saw the ticket was not happy with how it was done.

While my ticket was originally issued by a travel agent (Rosenbluth), it was reissed by AA and thus has no "IATA number." I can't imagine it needs one.

So, what should I do now. Is there any hope of getting it reissued somewhere and, if so, how and where? I should note that my flight from HKG-BKK is ticketed in D class, but I have an A class reservation, if that provides more of a reason fo doing a reissue.

Thanks!
