There are transfer lists between fleets which you can put your name on. It is seniority based and at the moment is being run on a 1 for 1 transfer, however according to HR, there are no crew who want to go from Long Haul to Short Haul, so no one from Short Haul can go to Long Haul...
That sucks.

Would there be a way of moving lhr to lgw ?

I know it's different terms & conditions etc but the lgw crews mix and match short & longhaul
