Actually outdated info. Since about three weeks, the Marriott offers a "kinda" lounge. Between 6pm and 8pm the lobby bar offers snacks to Gold and Platin guests, and between 6pm and 10pm you have a (limited) open bar there as well offering softs, beer from the tap and house wine to the same audience. Apart from that Gold and Platinum get the full breakfast comped seven days a week for all occupants of the room.

The Marriott there has really nice rooms though, and is pretty easy to get to. It's about 3 blocks off the Nordfriedhof station of the blue line, which runs right back into the city center. Very easy to get around the city from there.
The U6 takes about 15 minutes to get to Marienplatz, or if you need to get to/from the main train station, change there for any S-Bahn for another 3 minute ride). Keep in mind, however, that the U6 is the only public transport running to the Allianz Arena, so whenever there is some event going on, the U6 tends to get packed upt to Tokyo rush-hour standards. Having experienced this once I decided to look for other transport-options (I now use a very clever car-share scheme called "Drive-now" to get around in Munich.
