On my arrival in YVR-do I clear Immigration and then follow signs to my connecting flight? Clear customs. Go to the right at the end of the customs hall (connecting flights), take elevator upstairs and go through the AC connections desk, security, and then back down to domestic departures.

On my return from YYC-YVR-SFO - Where do I clear Customs/Immigration for my return back to the USA? YVR? YVR.
