aussiemate,
The ticketing has been a story in and of itself.
It was originally ticketed through Rosenbluth Travel (my Dad's company had a corporate account with them). However, I decided to add the run through South America a few months ago, but by this time, my Dad's company no longer worked with Rosenbluth, so I had to go to AA and have them do the re-ticketing. Unforatunately, South Bend is ninety miles from ORD (the nearest ticketing location) and I had to make two trips to get the ticket re-issued. Now, as I made some date and time changes, I need to get parts of the ticket re-written (but not, thankfully, reissued).
headinclouds,
You are correct, I am not leaving the airport. I have been told that the transfer will not be difficult to make and I am hopeful that BA will issue me both boarding passes in ARN or LHR. On his OWE trip last year, tfung did the rapid LHR-DXB-LHR turnaround and seemed to have no real problems. I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks for the tip and the information. You can expect detailed trip reports as I go along.
