I still wish someone would explain to me in simple terms (e.g. "yes" or "no") if the statement in the BA version of the OWE rules:

"Origin-destination surface segment permitted between USA and Canada"

means I can buy the ex-Canada fare and make YVR-LAX (surface) my first leg.

The comment that the rules were for Brits, although no doubt intended to clarify things and be helpful, rang no bells for me.
