Yes, I know this is the Budget forum and that both companies are owned by the same 'group', but I've got to ask.

I'm looking at a 2 week rental in Maui this winter through Cap. 1 (powered by Travelocity) and the prices for a Mid-SUV are w/in $20 of each other (Avis is $20 higher). Who would you pick & why? I only rent cars once or twice a year so I don't have much knowledge of the two programs. I'm guessing it's 'six of one half dozen of the other'. I believe that either company will allow my wife as an additional driver for free.
Lastly, what constitutes a Mid SUV with each company? I'm guessing a Ford Escape or equivalent.
TIA
