By the end of September I will have about 43 nights, but the rest of our travel for the year is likely to be an non-Marriot destinations, unless I really work at it, and it would probably mean staying at lesser properties. Is there really much in it to get to gold that would be it be worth going out of my way and spending extra dollars to get there? My major inducement is upgrades, but according to the website gold upgrades do not include suites. I'd appreciate any thoughts on whether it's worth going to some lengths to get gold. Thanks.
