No. The timing is uncommon. The only Double EQM promos they've done in the past 12 months are in reactiion to new routes that VX was starting up or expanding, from SFO and LAX, to AA hubs (DFW and ORD). (VX to date doesn't do routes other than with California at one end.)

It remains to be seen if VX can do anything more that AA will feel a need to do yet another round of this.

Meanwhile, please note that the last two rounds (this summer) have been targeted: You have to have an address on file with AA in one of the states that the promo route ends in to be able to sign up for the promo. So for LAX/SFO-DFW, you have to live in CA or TX, and for LAX/SFO-ORD, youhave to live in CA or IL.

So, given the pattern, unless VX starts up LAX/SFO-MIA, you might need to "move" to CA before any future such VX-reaction double EQM promo starts up.
