I have more info now and just post it, maybe someone has a similiar problem:

AA does not comp LH, the only comp United
For AA you can reach the Plat. status quickly if you take part in the Plat. Challenge and collect enought miles quickly

BA at least gives BA Silver if approved by their supervisor; and you can collect miles for Concorde flights which you cannot in the AA program
