I know this is the case at ZRH. Travelers to the U.S. go through a separate line where it's all the familiar TSA crap - shoes, belts, liquids - and all of the other international travelers (as near as I can tell) just go through what seems to be typical Schengen WTMD-and-yawn security.

The first time I traveled out of there and encountered a polite Swiss clerk having to perform his best impression of TSA American security theater, I was embarrassed that my own country had exported that nonsense overseas. It was sad.
