Hi all, thanks for the responses. My apologies for the delay. I just got back form a 2 week travel and this bag did a great job of managing all the clothing plus my laptop. For WillCad: here are the detailed pictures:



What you see above is the inside of the area where I want to install my clothing elastic straps. As you see there are velcros on the side that affix to the velcro o the sides of the top section, effectively making it a folio storage. Also notice that there is a zip all around the lower section.



And here is the inside of it, after you open the zip. I thought of affixing the elastic strap around the bars, then bringing them to the inside of the bag but I think that would not be a good angle as they are too much in the center and it would crumple my clothes. Also, I want to avoid making cuts if possible to the bag.

I also took a look at the lashing straps in walmart. I would prefer elastic as I will otherwise need to keep adjusting them. Also, I'd love recommendations on how to attach them (how to attach applies for elastic too)

As far as packing cubes go, don't they take up more space? I need every inch of available space.
