What I think LTN Phobia is referring to is that in that situation 5B would not be available even in ET. So your scenario would not exist. But hypothetically it would be 5C more at risk. The curtain can move right up to pre-boarding, even without an equipment change. But in my experience they try to minimise it from T-48, since online check-in for some people will have already started at that point.
