I would take AA. IB coach is....well....not much fun, and the meal service is sub-par. Plus, no power ports (AA might have the 763 Y ports operating again by your departure date).

I also dislike how those A340s (and Airbus aircraft in general) make all sorts of weird noises....creaking, groaning, grinding of mechanical things, especially during critical phases of flight (takeoff/landing). Boeing aircraft never seem to make those sounds.
