I earned Silver Medallion in 2009, good through 2010. Other than one UG, the only benefit I cared about was preferred seats. Silver doesn't even get priority security line which sucked.
Once I realized I wasn't going to be happy, I moved my non SWA flying to *A because *A Silver has more perks. IMHO
I thought Silver was a pretty good deal, I am interested to see what advantages PM gives me this year
- As SM I got upgraded more than 50% of the time
- Preferred seating access when booking online
- Check in at the Medallion/FC counter
- 2 bags free up to 70 lbs each for you and up to 9 people traveling with you.
- Every airport I have been to (quite a few of them) I use the priority security line. Never had TSA disagree with me about it.
I used to fly SWA and would never go back.
