Just push the issue with the agent or find another agent. I had one of these fare types, an M-UP, which obviously showed as an "A", and I definitely pushed the issue. I was a PM at the time, and maybe went a little DYKWIA in a nice way. All ended up working out, but definitely insist and talk to somebody else if you don't get the answer you like.
