All service from LA to Hawaii, regardless of carrier, is domestic equipment with occasional unscheduled equipment subs. The only possible exception would be HA, but F on HA isn't particularly luxurious either (tight pitch). I've seen the KOA route operate with both a 767-300 and 757-200 for AA and DL, depending on season. I've heard their cargo loads are much higher to KOA and HNL than OGG or LIH and sometimes requires larger equipment.

No meal service on any carrier to Hawaii in Y except HA. Delta's BOB is generally (I think) superior to AA but you are better off buying something and bringing it on board.

Flight time varies with seasons, from as low as 5 hours in summer to just under 6 in winter, westbound. Eastbound is between 4.5 and 5.5 hours (fastest I've done it eastbound was 4 hours with strong tailwinds a year or so ago).

It's a reasonable flight in Y and frankly, F is just not worth that much more on this route.
