At the risk of sounding cynical, I have never come across a travel agent who knows the ins and outs of RTW fares as well as some of the people on FT. Most agents seldom see one and probably never recommend them. Web-based booking systems can't cope with them.

I'd say it's one area in which it's far better to do it yourself and just find an agent who's prepared to ticket it at the best possible price.
