Delta Int'l First Class - what was it like?

In the old days, as a teenager I remember boarding the B763's flying the TATL routes and walking past the international first class cabin. If my recollection serves me right, it was arranged in a 2-1-2 layout with brown leather seats.

By the time I became a frequent flyer and could enjoy premium cabins, Delta had already introduced BusinessElite and done away with int'l F.

So my question to the older (or should I rather say "wiser") DL flyers out there: how was the whole int'l F class experience on Delta in those days? Seat comfort? Soft product? Catering?

Of course if you have any pics you can share that would be the icing on the cake!
