A Frequent Flyer's Withdrawl Story

I am in shock

I have just been told that I am moving jobs, to a role which effectively has no travelling whatsoever! Whilst that may be a positive step with regard to my overall health (very early morning flights out of LHR/LGW, poor quality of food in lounges, too much freeze booze in the evenings ), it will make my long running label of UK Domestic whore no more

As of October, I will move to the North West (nearest airport MAN) however, I will unlikely need to travel anywhere as I will be a 'fixed base' employee.

After being a BD*G for many years, then becoming a BD refugee after the GLA route demise (ultimately becoming BD*S) and a BA Silver and Flying Poo Silver (if someone can point out the benefits of this 'status', I would be most appreciative), I will likely naturally drop down to pleb status in all alliance schemes.

Bear with me, I am getting to my question! Whilst I am still happy that I will no longer need to eat my breakfast 2 or 3 times a week in Galleries North, I will be ensuring that all my holidays will be on BA to try and maintain status (or adding in the customary LGW-AMS-JER TP run).

But most importantly, what am I going to do in my free time when I have little or no need to actually visit and read FT on an hourly basis?! Can we set up some sort of BAEC FT Anonymous group to support those who find themselves in a similar situation and help manage the withdrawal symptoms?
