In the latest rules i got last week (July 25th) it now states that "WHEN THE CLASS OF SERVICE FOR THE FARE IS NOT OFFERED BOOK IN THE NEXT LOWER CLASS OF SERVICE". This means that for most domestic flight (except the Transcon flight that offer business class) you will be booked in M class.

AA flights between Canada and the US now sells their "front cabin" on their 2 class aircraft as "Business Class" instead of "First Class".
There should be an "exception" for domestic US flights on two class aircraft. The product is not really first class and should have been renamed "Business Class" many years ago. Stupid Americans !!
