i just raise this as an academic question.
in fact, i have to flash my other card to get into AA lounge. -- i dont need the HH/hyatt this year either, but next year i will since i am switching to starwood

the advantage for me is that the Flagship Lounge (MIA/BOS) are always very quiet when i am there. (though in ORD it is a lot more corwded) -- i travel mostly in morning/noon for domestic flights, while all the international flights leave in evenings.
for selfish reason i should hope AA keep the rule very strict, but it is nice the loophole opens for (ONLY) my friends here
