Your RTW routing seems fine. You can add a lot more segments if you have the time or to get more mileage.
I am looking at my latest copy of the QF timetable with baggage rules. They treat domestic flts connecting with intnl flts as continuing connections and give you the intnl allowance (page 17).
Carry on baggage is a different story. The limits are same on domestic and intnl. However, on domestic QF, they are very strict about enforcing limits and on intnl it depends on load and staff. I an AA EXP and BA Gold travelling on Biz fare and still got "looks". Luckily, I did get away but they generally hold you to the limit of 2 bags at most 7 Kilos each (15.4 lbs).
Allowances for checked in baggage are higher for intnl (2 pieces in intnl econ vs. 1 piece for domestic econ). The per baggage limit is the same 32kgs (70 lbs). Biz on domestic gets 3 pieces while on intnl all classes are allowed 2 pieces (the dimensions allowed for first are more liberal than econ on US/Aus flts).
Check the Qantas board for more specific info.
