#1, I don't know, as I only check one bag if any at all.

#2 technically depends on whether you stop in hkg between syd and cdg. If not, then it is fine. Otherwise, they might make you take qf from jfk to syd. If, of course, you get a really anal agent. Though I changed the routing, they didn't seem to care that I routed syd-hkg-jfk after a stop in asia.
