I took CO BF EWR-LHR yesterday and found it much worst than VS. Whilst it is a flat bed there is only a tiny V shape to tuck your feet into. If you have big feet they probably wouldn't even fit.
Also, if you are in a window seat and your neighbour has the bed flat it is awkward to get out.
The VS seats are very private and all have isle access. There is also plenty of room for your feet.
PE is an excellent product. Way better than UA econ plus. In fact it is the same seat size/pitch as domestic 1st class. The food is better and served nicely than regular econ. (econ plus serves the same stuff as econ).
Econ is horrible whatever airline you fly - agree.
from your description of CO I take it you were on the 777, next time get Row 1 C,D,K,L or 2 A,B or Row 8 all of them have a tremendous foot rest unlike all the other seats. Made that mistake 1 time and havent looked back since. Also go for the middle section C-D that way noone is stepping over anyone else
its been a long time since I was in BF on a 752 so I dont remember that set up.
also ife on CO is great and better then VS
as for a Y seat I have no problems with UAs E+ Y seat, since VSs prem Y costs alot more $$ and UAs E+ is $0 (to me) Id go with E+ for now,
