I completely agree with you. I know several such people, who are loyal to another program but always steer stays to Hyatt when a FFN comes along. And those folks have never seen the inside of a Hyatt Place.

Those are the folks that make a promo like this profitable for Hyatt -- and it's why they do it.

It's those who only attain and retain Diamond, by staying at cheap properties to maximize FFN nights at Park Hyatts (a fair percentage of the crowd here) that GP won't miss.
