Same here. Except I think I'll wait till several days after 8/31, specifically, until my Marriott account shows my last August stay having posted to Southwest, before I change it. (But that's because I'm new to Marriott and don't yet know when is the safe time to change earnings preference. In some other programs, what matters is the earning preference at booking time, in others the earning preference at check-in or check-out, and in still others the earning preference at stay posting time. It's a bit dizzying to keep them all straight! )
