ask them (for us) at check in, "what's the norm-20kgs or 30kgs in "y?" then you'll be able to add your EY gold extra allowance to that- on EK flights I use up the 16 extra I'm allowed in "y" for some special stuff I carry around the world, so for me its a big deal that if EY wants my biz they'd have to give me comparable if they want me to come over to them. - your post will be interesting indeed to read, don't forget to tell us all ok?
