No. As long as you stick to EI metal, you're good to go.
Do note that mileage required for partner redemptions isn't necessarily the same as the mileage required for a BA redemption. Sometimes it's more, sometimes less. (Although in this case it's the same.)
Also 50k is only valid from Europe 1 (Belgium, Channel Islands, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland, United Kingdom). Further afield, it's 60k or 65k.
Taxes *should* agree with ITA, but every now and then a mystery Whatnot charge appears out of leftfield.
