The AA RTW desk says there is NO limit to the numbers of transfers or stops in a single city as long as it falls within the normal max number of segments within a continent. This is confirmed by Darren's recent post.

However, others have reported that some carriers do impose a 2 transfers per city limit. I really cannot understand where your trip violates any of the new rules as posted by 3554quebec, but, I have not tried to ticket anything under these new rules so I may be in for a suprise.

Perhaps have your travel agent submit the ticket to AA for pricing or call AA yourself.
