What is referred to as 'taxes' for Explorer RTW is, I think, 'airport taxes' suh as facilities usage/improvement, quarantine process charges, and not value added taxes.

As RichLond says, nowadays, these charges often need to be included in tickets.

In Japan or any other countries that I have purchased international air tickets (CH included), they are not subject to VAT or any other domestic levies typically imposed on products and services sold domestically.
