Depending on when you will be traveling, a routing via SNN -- instead of DUB -- may also be possible. EI offers seasonal service between SNN and JFK.
Guv1976, thanks very much for your wisdom on booking EI flights using BA miles. Just to make sure I understand correctly;

- You can book flights on EI metal using BA miles from Europe 1 to North America for the standard rate ( 25K in Y, 50K in J one way ) ?
- You won't be charged a fuel surcharge on this booking ?
- It has to be done over the phone ?
- You would be allowed a stopover ( in DUB or SNN ) ?
1. Yes, but if you redeem for a J award, you'll only be in a Business Class cabin for the TATL portion. EI does not offer Business Class on its intra-European flights.
2. I'm not sure if there will be no fuel surcharge, or merely a reduced one, but the fees should be less than if you flew AA or BA from LHR to JFK.
3. Yes.
4. Yes.
