Just took the island hopper flight last week...the weather was good so the scenery was enjoyable during our tour of SE Alaska. My wife and I stayed in row the 6 the entire flight but others played musical chairs with each passing segment (even F to Y moves after KTN). I expected that they would suggest we stay on the plane since there stops would be relatively brief, but I didn't expect to have a GA at each stop get on the plane and go row by row checking names and seat assignments...this essentially forced you to stay on the plane even if you wanted to stretch your legs at one of the stops. I only expected to deplane and walk around in KTN since I wouldn't have to re-clear security there, but we didn't since there was the seating check going on. I thought it was a nice touch to offer pre-packaged OJ at one of the stops (Wrangell, I think) since some of the flights were obviously way too brief for even OJ and water to be served. Speaking of stops, they do feel a lot longer than you would think they would be and the passengers that boarded along the way seemed to arrive in groups of 1, 2, or 3 rather than a massive hoard like normal which I assume means they board immediately after passing through security. All-in-all, a great trip with great seats, but make no mistake about it...the 45 min. or so stops make it feel like a LONG trip and with no chance to grab food at the stops, eat a good breakfast before you board or take something with you....we had pancakes at the SEA BR and I picked-up an extra bagel before I left
