Okay, just got off the phone w/ AA's rtw desk.

1) Only way to stop in HNL on a 1world explorer is in conjunction w/ either Auckland or Sydney on QF.

2) Buying a 1-way back from Hawaii to the mainland isn't permissable.

The woman I spoke with seemed pretty familiar with the Hawaii dilemma.

Now, to reactivate a rumor...

She told me that the CX reps were in to AA last month and said they working on HKG-HNL approval. Who knows, maybe now that they're back to making money, ordering planes, etc., they've decided to reconsider.
